XL Millennium Travel staff news

Our staff have been up to some great things, and we are proud of them.

XL Millennium welcomes new team members

This year, we welcome three new sales executives to our team. Carin Wiegerink is based in the Cape Town office, while Cerise Kruger and Belinda Loughton will be based in Johannesburg. We wish them a happy stay with XL Millennium Travel.

Galileo courses done and dusted

We're very proud of Arlona Nkansi in our Johannesburg office, who has completed her Galileo Certificate.
Sakeenah Abrahams in Cape Town is currently doing her Galileo course.

Sakeenah passes her Tourism course

Sakeenah

Sakeenah Abrahams is an example to us all. Sakeenah approached Linda Benwell and asked if she could work for nothing to gain experience because nobody would employ her without experience. With that kind of attitude, Linda gladly took her on as an intern, paying her less than pocket money. At the same time, Sakeenah attended after-hours lectures in order to complete her studies.

Sakeenah has now passed her Tourism course, and we are thrilled to announce that she has accepted a permanent position with us.

'Sakeenah has already proved herself to us and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team' says Linda.

Well done Sekeenah.

Rowina is our new intern

Every year, XL Millennium Travel takes on an intern who learns the business as part of their studies. Our new intern is Rowina Stuurman.

Rowina

I am Rowina Stuurman from Kraaifontein.

I am currently doing my Internship at XL Millennium Travel in Goodwood and what an amazing experience it have been so far. I am a 2nd year student at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, doing my Diploma in Tourism Management. I started at Millennium Travel on the 10th October 2011 and will do my Internship until next year March. I am working in the Travel Department and Reception and hopefully would want to get experience in each department of the company.

I know that when I walk out of Millennium Travel after my 6 months and go back to University... with more knowledge, a lot... of experience, presentable and with the best experience that I wouldn't have received anywhere else in the world!

One thing is for sure, these girls rock!!!

Big thank you to Linda, Letitia and Jo-Anne for accepting me here at the company.

Warm regards

Rowina Stuurman

Hazel's son leads the way
